How To Get Help When You Get System Db Error Messages
System Db error messages are generated by Collect!
whenever some sort of operational error is encountered
in the running of the system. This usually goes beyond
the ordinary running of Collect! The error might be
caused by a network glitch, a database inconsistency or
some sort of user error. Some of these errors are very minor
and others are more serious. Whatever the cause, the error
needs to be resolved before you continue to operate.
When you get a System Db error message, it is important
to note the NUMBER of the error. This explains the nature
of the error -- whether it is a network related, database
related, or simply, caused momentarily by a user.
The first step to take is to look in the
System Db Error Index to find the explanation
of the Error Number you see on your screen.
Select the link to the Error Number and you will
open an HTML page describing the source of the
error along with suggestions for remedies.
