Import/Export Support
Support for the Import/Export module is priced separately
from standard support of your Collect! software. The technical
requirements and experience level required to help clients with
their import routines is ultimately more complex and therefore
requires more experienced staff members. The issues that arise
from the use of the import module, whether Comtech Systems Inc.
undertakes the file format specification or the client does, are quite
different from the support normally given with the Collect! software
system. This specific module support package covers those issues.
Support is given to those who have the technical and data evaluation
experience to build their own import/export routines. This support, in
the form of specific questions and answers is best accompanied by
a copy of the actual file being imported and the import specification
file which has been or is in the process of being created.
Once the file specification has been created, assistance in the usage
of the import/export module is covered. This includes providing assistance
in the form of a data review and helping to trouble shoot what may have
gone wrong or which fields may have been incorrectly set up.
In addition, we will answer questions regarding the actual initial importing
of data and subsequent importing of files from the previously created
import specification file. If an existing import/export develops a problem or
it appears that the file may require some modifications, Comtech Systems
Inc. will undertake a review of the files to determine the appropriate solution
for the situation.
This package also includes any updates available for this module during
the period of subscription at no additional charge.
