Database Preferences Basics
The Database Preferences form enables you to set
several global settings to use when working with Collect!
Technical information entered in the Database Preferences
form directs Collect! to the proper resources when needed.
For example, your Email server address is entered here, if you
are using SMTP email protocol.
Database Preferences form
Accessing Database Preferences
The Database Preferences form may be accessed in two ways.
Providing you have access to the various menus and forms,
you may use one of the following ways to get to the Database
Preferences form.
1. Select System from the top menu bar and then select
Preferences from the drop-down choices. This displays
the System Setup menu. Select the DATABASE PREFERENCES
button to open the Database Preferences form.
Or,
2 Select the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION button from the
Main Menu to open the System Administration menu. Then
select the SETUP AND CONFIGURATION button. This displays
the System Setup menu. Select the DATABASE PREFERENCES
button to open the Database Preferences form.
