How To Copy Reports To Master Database
This document deals with copying reports with in Collect!
If you would like to copy a report from the Demonstration database
into your Masterdb database, perform the following steps.
1. Sign into Collect! in the Demonstration database.
2. At the Main Menu, pull down the Print menu and choose
Customize Printing, Edit Report Templates.
3. The Report Definition list will display all reports available
in your database.
4. Use the arrow keys to scroll and highlight the Report you
would like to copy.
5. Pull down the Edit menu, and choose Copy. You will be
notified that the Report has been copied to the Clipboard.
To copy multiple Reports, use the arrow keys to
highlight each item and press the spacebar. The item will
appear yellow as you tag it and blue when you move off of it.
To deselect an item, return to it using the arrow keys and press
the spacebar again.
6. Click OK to close the Report Definition. Choose
Quit to exit to the Welcome to Collect! screen.
7. At the Welcome to Collect! screen switch to your Masterdb
database. The Database to Open field will now display "MASTERDB."
8. Sign into Collect! in the Masterdb database.
9. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
10. With the Report Definition list displayed, pull down the
Edit menu and choose Paste. Your Report (or reports) will be
pasted into the list.
11. Check the Report (or reports) that you copied to make sure
it has all the information of the original.
Select A Whole List
If you want to select a whole list to copy, click in the list to a
activate it and press CTRL+A. The whole list will appear blue.
Follow all other instructions as given above.
To deselect all selections or a whole list, pull down the
Edit menu and choose ' Clear Tags'. All the blue highlights will disappear.
