Frequently Asked Questions - Auto Dialer

Operators Cannot Access Their WIP List Contacts

Q - When my operators go to their WIP lists, they are unable to click into any of their Contacts. They can see the Contacts, but they can't activate any of them.

A - Check the WIP Options. If you set your WIP Options to Automatically display dialer, you must make sure that you have previously setup the auto dialer. If auto dialer is not setup properly, Collect! cannot carry out your conflicting commands, when your operators are viewing their WIP lists.

Undo Completed Contacts

Q - How can I undo completed contacts?

A - You have two options.

  1. Click "Tools\ Batch Processing" and choose "Undo Completed Contacts" from the list of processes you can run.

Enter the Contact type (i.e. Letter, Metro, etc.) that you want to undo.

Enter the Start Date and End Date range that will serve as the target criteria to be met to undo your batch. Both the Start and End date can be the same date if you are looking for 1 batch and you know what date you completed it.

Start Time and End Time are not required.

Click the Start button in the lower right corner to initiate the process. You will get a popup message of how many contacts were reactivated.

  2. If you are a very experienced user of the system, you can create a writeback report that you can run against a Tagged list of target contacts which marks the contact In Progress with an "x" and replaces the "x" in the Completed contact field with a blank space.

Promise Contact Sets Delinquency Date For CBR

Q - How is the promise contact used in conjunction with the Delinquency Date on the Debtor screen?

A - If you are reporting to credit bureaus as a Credit Grantor, you can automatically set Delinquency Date using a promise contact. The due date of the promise contact is the Promise Date on the Debtor screen. If the promise date is 31 days or more overdue, the Delinquency Date is calculated as the promise date plus 31 days. See How To Report Credit for more information.
