Import Record Options
This form controls some key factors when performing complicated
importing and exporting procedures. This is an ADVANCED
feature. You can choose data based on additional identifiers when
importing, and can control some output options for exporting.
These options apply to fixed length files only.
Id2
ID2 and ID3 are unique identifiers used in the same way as the
ID field in the record form. In fixed length files formats, you can
use this additional ID to further examine and choose data.
Id2 Offset
Offset specifies the position from the first column where the
identifier is found. Since the primary ID is usually at offset 0,
normally you will need to enter a number here.
Id3
ID2 and ID3 are unique identifiers used in the same way as the
ID field in the record form. In fixed length files formats, you can
use this additional ID to further examine and choose data.
Id3 Offset
Offset specifies the position from the first column where the
identifier is found. Since the primary ID is usually at offset 0,
normally you will need to enter a number here.
Default Terminator
This causes a line feed character (0xA) to be inserted at the
end of each exported record.
Null Terminate
This causes a NULL character (0x00) to be inserted at the
end of each exported record.
No Terminator
Do not append any character at the end of exporting the
record. This also stops the line from being padded to its
defined width if the line width of the fixed length export
is specified.
CR/LF
This causes a carriage return (0xD) and line feed
character (0xA) to be inserted at the end of each
exported record.
Header
This switch causes the data in the record to be placed
at the top of the file when exporting. This is usually only
set on the Accumulator record type for managing some
complex export file formats. This is used in conjunction
with the Accumulator field in the Import Field Specification
form.
