Toolbar Icons
At the top of the Collect! screen you will see a row of
icons. These buttons are a speedy way of performing
the most often used operations on records and accounts.
New
Select the New icon to add a new record.
Open
Select the Open icon when you want to drill down into
greater detail.
The Open command basically moves you deeper into
whatever it is you are looking at.
The Open command works until you run out of things
to open. Then it does nothing.
Save
To write changes to the database, select the Save icon.
If changes were made, Collect! starts a database transaction
and writes the changed record to the database.
If no changes have been made to the current record, this
function does nothing.
Changes are saved automatically by Collect!,
so don't worry about having to select the Save button all
the time.
OK
Selecting OK confirms what you are doing,
saves any changes, and moves forward.
When you have a form open and you
have edited the contents, OK saves the
changes to disk and closes the form.
The opposite of OK is the Cancel or
Escape command, which discards and
exits whatever it is you are doing.
Edit
Select the Edit icon to edit the current field.
Print
Select the Print icon to print bring up the
Print Report list.
Find
Select the Find icon to display the Search Criteria
editing form
Dial
Select the Dial icon to begin phone dialing.
First
This function moves you to the first record.
For example, if you are viewing a debtor,
selecting this will take you to the first
debtor in your system.
Next
This function moves you to the next record.
For example, if you are viewing a debtor,
selecting this will take you to the next
debtor in your system.
Prior
This command moves you to the prior record.
For example, if you are viewing a debtor,
selecting this will take you to the prior
debtor in your system.
Last
This command moves you to the last record.
For example, if you are viewing a debtor,
selecting this will take you to the last
debtor in your system.
Delete
Select the Delete icon to delete the currently
selected item.
Help
Select the Help icon to view the Help topic for the current
form. This is the same as pressing F1.
Finding More Information
1. If popup help is enabled, hold your mouse over an icon
to view details.
2. Select Help from the top menu bar and then select
