New Features - 11-1 Build 3
Welcome to Collect! Version 11.1 Build 3. This latest
version has many new features and functionality. There
are also many optimizations and enhancements to existing
features.
Log File System
Event logging in the Collect! system has been completely
revamped with a user-friendly comprehensive new Log Viewer.
All messages and system return codes are displayed in one
screen with settings you can customize. System diagnosis is
greatly simplified and streamlined for easy tracking and
troubleshooting.
Please refer to Help topic, Collect! Log Viewer for details.
Client Timeout
This new setting in the Database Preferences will help
you increase your efficiency. When a network interruption
causes a client to disconnect from the server, you can
tell Collect! to log the user out after a number of minutes
you specify. This means you no longer need to restart the
CV11 Server to remove an inactive user.
Please refer to Help topic, Database Preferences for details.
Start Scheduler Automatically
New switch in the Scheduler Settings enables you to start the
Scheduler as soon as you sign in as a Scheduler Operator.
Please refer to Help topic, Scheduler Settings for details.
Schedule Promise Events
Three new fields were added to the Contact Plan Event
record for automatic scheduling of Promise events.
These fields enable you to automatically fill in a Promise
amount when creating a Promise through a contact plan.
You can specify the Amount of the Promise as a
percent of Owing or Settlement. These fields are hidden
if the contact event type is not Promise.
Please refer to Help topic, Event for details.
Client Event
Contact plans have a new event type, the Client event. This
enables you to change the Client Number on an account
using a contact plan. Type the Client Number that you want
to assign the account to into the Description Field.
Please refer to Help topic, Event for details.
Don't Convert Case On Name Entry
This new switch in the " Screen and Messages" form
enables you to control name formatting in the Debtor's
Contact field. Default behavior (unchecked) will lower
case the string and then upper case capitals. With
the switch set, the name will be capitalized exactly as
you typed it when it is transposed into the Contact field
during data entry. For example, "VanAllen, James" by
default transposes as "James Vanallen." With switch set,
it transposes as "James VanAllen."
Please refer to Help topic, Screen and Messages
for details.
Optimizations
Enhancements were made to Financials, Report Writer,
Display, Web Host, Contact Plans, Import/Export,
Credit Bureau Reporting, Security, Database Change Logging,
NCOA Updates, Scheduler and the CV11 Server.
Upgrading To This Build
Please refer to Introduction To Collect! Version 11
for details about upgrading your existing Collect!
system to take advantage of the features and optimizations
in this latest release.
