New Features - 12-5
Welcome to Collect! Version 12.5. This latest version
has several new features and functionality, as well as several
optimizations and enhancements to existing features.
*** All users upgrading from CV 12.1.1.28 or Lower need to
test their IMPORT MAPS to ensure they work as expected on
version 12.2.1 or higher. Please contact Comtech systems
to review your import maps.
Security
Collect now uses Windows Authentication to sign into SQL SERVER instead of a
user name and password. Your Windows ID must be permitted to sign into
SQL Server by the database or domain administrator.
You can now link your Windows ID to your Collect! ID to automatically log you in.
This will allow you to sign into any workstation on your network and open Collect!
without having to enter credentials. The Windows ID is stored in the 'Auth' field
on the Operator Security form. If the field contains '=IDPASS', then Collect! will
prompt for an ID and Password each time a users signs in.
Passwords stored in the operator table are now hashed. In order to change a password,
users must now use the 'Change Password' button on the Operator Security form.
Updated Password Settings to allow the ability to force upper case, lower case,
and special characters.
Added Anti-CSRF tokens to Web Host to prevent CSRF attacks.
Find by SSN is now an exact match only for data security reasons. Wild cards can
not be used during search.
You can now log list deletions to notes. This is set on the client and debtor tabs,
not the form properties.
Added the user level fields when exporting and importing reports.
Enhanced Collect! security by now supporting password authentication for the
database connection. Users now have a choice of setting the all domain users to have
access to the database, or to connect via a built in admin account.
Enhanced the debtor searching to only display debtors that belong to the operator if the
Security Strict switches are set on the Operator Security form.
Added the ability to Find By the last 4 digits of a Social number.
Notes Enhancement
Note lines are now stored as individual records in the database rather than binary
(hexadecimal) data.
The import module will now automatically create the date/time stamp on a note line
if all you import is the text.
Billing Tree
Updated Billing Tree module to support TLS 1.2.
The following fields on Payment Transactions that are configured for Billing Tree are
now Read Only to prevent reconciliations issues:
- Type
- To Us
- Direct
- Posted Date
- Payment Date
- User 1 to 7
Display And Environment
Moved the 'Log Files', 'cbr', and 'billingtree' folders out of the bin folder.
Email signatures are now stored in the Collect\config\email folder.
Reduced the number of prompts in the CBR module.
You can now force an IP address into the fsrv.ini file using a preceding
carrot (EX: ^host=192.168.1.100). Without the carrot, Collect! will maintain current
functionality where it checks the server's IP address and updates the fsrv.ini if they
don't match. Forcing an IP address is useful on servers with multiple IP addresses.
The Debtor DL and Contact Amount fields have been added to the Work in Progress list.
Pick list enhancements including the support for mouse wheel scrolling and pick lists with
colors now display the colors in the drop down list rather than only when selected.
'Dialer' has been added to the Description pick list on Phone Contacts.
Added a switch called "Legacy Notes" to Options, Sounds, and Colors that, when checked,
applies a background color to the notes instead of coloring the text.
Added a new command line switch to turn off smart paging to optimize batch record
fetching over a Wide Area Network.
Added more record types to the record totals function.
Report Writer
Added a Printable Information Code to the Report Writer to allow you to print the
Commission Rate Plan that is associated with a Transaction.
Collect! Edition Changes To Entrepreneur
The debtor limits for Entrepreneur have been increased as follows:
- 2,500 to 10,000
- 1,000 to 2,500
- 500 to 1,000
Upgrading To This Build
Please refer to How to Upgrade Collect! for details about upgrading your
existing Collect! system to take advantage of the features and
optimizations in this latest release.
If you are upgrading from Version 11 or
earlier, this is a major revision and considered
a paid upgrade.
