New Features - 11-2 Build 13
Welcome to Collect! Version 11.2 Build 13. This latest
version has important new features and functionality and
several enhancements to existing features.
Recent Debtor List
The new Browse menu option, Recent Debtor List, enables
you to quickly return to any one of the last ten debtors you
were viewing. Go back to the account you were on a while
ago with just one click! Collect! updates this list continually,
always displaying the ten most recent accounts that you
were working. It's fast and easy to increase your productivity
with this simple solution.
Please refer to Help Topic, Recent Debtor List for details.
Numerics Only Phone Fields
A new option in Options, Sounds and Colors enables you to
strip non-numerics from Phone numbers as they are entered
into Collect!. This makes it very easy to set up your accounts
for compatibility with auto dialing systems. Phone numbers
are automatically configured to the numerics only format
required for these systems, as soon as you leave any
phone field. This will also strip non-numerics from Phone
fields filled during an import routine.
Please refer to Help Topic, Screen and Messages for details.
Set Timezone
A new report, Set Timezone, ships with the Collect! demodb
and enables you to set the timezone for each of your debtors
based on the area code in the Debtor Home phone field.
Once you have run this report, the timezone control file,
setzone.ctf, attached to the Debtor Home field in the Demodb,
acts to update any new debtors as they are entered into
your system. Changes to the area code will also update
the debtor's Timezone field. This report and control file can
easily be imported into your working database.
Once you have set your timezones, you can
manage your WIP Lists by Timezone. Simply
select the Timezone column heading to sort
the WIP List by Timezone. Or, use the Reload
Work In Progress List dialog to set a Time
range to view when the WIP List is reloaded.
Please refer to Help topic, Reload Work In Progress List for
more information.
Strip Check Digit
Three new Check Digit report codes enable you to output
Check Digit information in three new formats. These
commands strip non-numerics from the data field before
generating the Check Digit.
Example Data: @de.ow = $49,000.00
Strip Check Digit with Space:
@de.ow<cds>
Outputs: 4900000 3
Strip Check Digit No Space:
@de.ow<cdns>
Outputs: 49000003
Strip Check Digit Only:
@de.ow<cdcs>
Outputs: 3
Please refer to How To Generate A Check Digit for
more information.
