New Features - 11-3 Build 8

Welcome to Collect! Version 11.3 Build 8. This latest version has many new features and functionality. There are also many optimizations and enhancements to existing features.

Required Address Fields

A new setup area in the Reports and Printer Setup form enables you to fine-tune the Address OK functionality used during batch printing. You can now let Collect! determine whether or not an address is "OK" to print to based on the settings in this new Required Address Fields form. This lets you set your required address lines easily in one place rather than relying solely on the "Address OK" switch on each account. This minimizes user error and saves you time.

Please refer to Help topic, Required Address Fields for details.

Timezone Display

The title bar of the Client, Debtor and Debtor Cosigner form now display the local time for the timezone in which the individual resides. Whenever the Timezone field on any one of these forms has a value other than "Local Time", the account's current time will appear in the top right of the form's title bar.

Run Plan On No Phones

A new check box, "No Phones," in the Screen and Messages form enables you to run a contact plan if a user deletes a Debtor's phone number, rendering all the phone fields empty. This feature is a great way to instantly move unworkable accounts, directing them to skip tracing, for instance, or removing them from your dialer campaigns.

Please refer to Help topic, Screen and Messages for details.

Account Holder In Debtor Detail

Collect! now stores the name of the Account Holder in the Debtor Detail form. By default, this is the name of the Debtor but you can modify this if the banking details on the account are in the name of someone other than the Debtor. This gives your collectors a very easy way to record a different party who agrees to pay on the debt.

Please refer to Help topic, Debtor Detail for details.

Archive Accounts In Scheduler

The new Archive Accounts task in the Scheduler enables you to archive volumes of inactive accounts automatically during off hours, according to criteria you set. You can tag clients, select a Closed Date range and even set a maximum time for the task to run so that it does not impede other scheduled processes.

Please refer to Help topic, Archive Accounts in Scheduler for details.

Scheduler Tasks Default File

Two new options enable you to specify different default Scheduler Tasks files for different Collect! databases. You can now run a different series of tasks on each database easily and simply. This enables you to configure, in separate files, whatever tasks you need to automate and assign them to whatever database you want.

1. You can now specify a default Scheduler Tasks file for each Collect! database in the Scheduler Settings. This enables you to run a different set of routines on each of your Collect! databases. In the Scheduler Settings form, simply set the defaults and Collect! will use them for the database you were signed into when you set the configurations. You can sign into your other databases to set defaults for those databases.

Please refer to Help topic, Scheduler Settings for details.

2. You can now specify a default Scheduler SCH file in the Collect! shortcut. To specify the file use /sch:{filename} where {filename} is what would normally go in the Scheduler's "Default scheduler tasks file" field. This tasks file will load into whatever database you sign into from the shortcut.

For Example:

C:\CV11\bin\CV11.exe /sch:demo.sch
Load the Scheduler Tasks file named demo.sch when Collect! starts.

Please refer to Help topic, Command Line Startup Options for details.

Auto Dialer Non-TAPI Plug-In

Collect! can now redirect to UDP protocol for auto dialing. This functionality expands our default TAPI integration to include interfacing with many other third party dialing services. If you have a non-TAPI dialing solution, get in touch with Comtech to discuss using Collect!'s Auto Dialer to talk to your dialing system.

Please refer to Help topic, Softphone for additional information.

Png Image Support

Collect! now supports the PNG image format for the Splash Screen and for the IMG command in reports. Place a splash.png in the CV11\bin folder to load a custom splash screen. If a splash.png doesn't exist, Collect! will then look for a splash.bmp file.

Please refer to Help topics, How to Position Text and Graphics and Customize Splash Screen.

New Add-On

Uppercase Operator ID Report

This new utility report can be used to convert Operator IDs to uppercase if they were entered in Collect! as lowercase characters. This provides consistency for third party processes that are case-sensitive. Going forward, Operator IDs are now forced to uppercase consistently in Version 11.3 Build 7.4 and newer. This report works with Collect! Version 11.3 Build 7.4 and newer.
